Düsseldorf, May 2025 – A flexible and scalable platform, personalized customer engagement, and the ability to position itself as a niche provider in the market: the new travel platform reisenistbesonders.de is built on the technology of freshcells systems engineering. The goal of the project is to provide a modern and efficient online solution that can be flexibly expanded in terms of product variety and functionality – allowing it to optimally respond to future requirements and market developments.
Reisen ist besonders was founded by Richard Brodrecht, who has worked in the travel industry for over 40 years. After holding executive positions at companies such as Thomas Cook, Neckermann Reisen, l'tur, alltours, and FTI, he decided to establish his own brand together with two other partners. As a purely online provider, reisenistbesonders.de follows a clear digital sales strategy. The focus is not on the lowest price, but on a curated selection of travel products that have largely remained undiscovered by mainstream travelers. A key aspect of the project is the technical flexibility made possible by freshcells’ TravelSandbox®. Among other things, a rapid switch of the product source system was implemented during the ongoing project. In addition to the technical implementation, freshcells was also responsible for brand development – including logo creation, corporate design, and UI/UX design.
