Your Responsibilities
- Technical support in customer web-projects
- Technical preparation of customer requirements for the developers
- Systematic analysis of problem areas at CI/CD and development of solutions
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Configuring and working with monitoring/alerting systems in production environments
- Participation in the requirements determination of initial projects and in the creation of effort forecasts
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Supporting the project managers in the coordination of the project, including the assignment of tasks to the development teams
- Develop scripts to automate visualization in projects
- Once per month, 24h/7 on-demand SLA availability for one week. Compensated separately
Your skills and qualifications
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Extensive Cloud Architecture experience
- Knowledge of continuous integration via tools like Jenkins
- Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker, Vagrant, etc.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm or Rancher
- Proficient with git and git workflows
- Solid understanding of Linux architecture, OSI model
- Knowledge of important metrics to track in various environments
- Fluent in English
- Flexibility and initiative
- Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
- Motivation and a love of challenges
- Team player with good communication skills
Nice to have
- Sound technical knowledge in scripting languages
- Knowledge of designing and adapting software to be twelve factor applications
- Knowledge of ReST, SOAP and ideally graphQL API protocols
- Talking the same language with developers
- Understanding of GitOps principles, experience with GitOps and IaC tools
- Knowledge how to design and maintain systems safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Experience with autoscaling applications and clusters
- German language skills
